Plumbers Local 159 was chartered into the United Association on April 3rd, 1915 in Martinez, California. Almost 100 years later, our offices are still headquartered in Martinez where we have our union hiring hall, Journeyman and Apprentice Training facility and assembly hall. With over 500 members and over 100 union contractors, we provide skilled plumbers, steamfitters, HVAC Refrigeration technicians and service plumbers for work in Contra Costa County and beyond.
Our workforce takes pride in partnering with our signatory contractors in providing sophisticated piping systems to the end user. From underground installations to final connections of fixtures and equipment, a plumber is required to have all the physical and mental skills needed to get the job done right the first time.
Our journeymen and apprentices are among the best trained in the world. Continuing education classes are offered on a regular basis to our journeymen to keep them updated on the changes and trends in the plumbing industry. |
